The town centre offers a variety of things to do, many street-cafés, hotels, pensions, shops, restaurants, galleries or internet-cafés can be found there. Also, the "Ruta de Toros" (the "Route of the Bulls") through the national park is situated nearby. Other destinations include Ronda, with many white-washed villages on the way or the national reserve of Grazalema and Donana, which are just a short drive. The Atlantic ocean with its endless splendid sandy beaches is even closer. The towns Canos de la Meca or Conil are famous examples of towns at the nearby Costa de la Luz.
