Mijas - La Cala de Mijas
"La Cala de Mijas" - Mijas Costa is well known as a charming fishing village, located 25 minutes west of Malaga airport, directly at the Costa del Sol . The endless beaches with golden sand are very well looked after and clean.
International ambience is a part of nowadays La Cala which has nonetheless been able to maintain its original Spanish charms. There are many shops, banks, restaurants and bars and you will be able to pick up your daily English newspaper each morning.
In and around Cala de Mijas you can find a large variety of sporting facilities such as the tennis club "Club del Sol" or a bowling centre in Miraflores. There are also various fitness clubs, diving centres and of course the golf courses "La Cala" and "Mijas Golf". These golf courses are also accessible for non-members. Golf equipment can be hired on the course. Horse riding is possible in the hinterland and everybody will enjoy a day at the races in the "Hipodromo des Costa del Sol ".
Puerto Banus (Marbella's marina), a casino, the zoo and the water park of Fuengirola are just a few minutes drive from Cala de Mijas.
